2020 Conference is Cancelled

Additional information is available regarding conference and hotel refunds. Access the Conference Page for the latest information.

After discussion between the SVHFS Board of Directors and the 2020 Conference Committee, it was decided that the 2020 conference will be canceled and not rescheduled this year. The next SVHFS conference will be scheduled for April of 2021 at an unknown venue at this time. All registration fees for 2020 will be returned in full. Please cancel any Hotel reservations you may have made.

This year’s technical presentations would have been a highlight in anyone’s experience with the SVHFS conferences of the past. The Technical Committee amassed 23 papers for publishing and many of them ready were for presentation. Because of this, it has been decided that these papers will be published in a proceedings type format and will be available to both the Society and the general public for a standard nominal fee. When and how has yet been determined but information will be released here on the website first.

The Board and Conference Committee wish to acknowledge the efforts of all of this year’s Authors and hope the interest level remains throughout the following year producing an abundant crop of technical papers for the future 2021 conference.

The Conference Committee and the Board of Directors wish to thank all of you that planned on attending and hope this set back will not deter you from attending future SVHFS conferences.

See you in April, 2021

2020 Conference is Postponed

Because of the health and safety concern of our society members and the uncertainty of time of our National Emergency caused by the Corona virus pandemic, the Society’s Board of Directors elected to postpone this year’s conference indefinitely. The Board of Directors will be discussing alternate solutions for this year’s conference including the determination of registrations and the publishing of this year’s proceedings. The outcome of the Board’s decisions will be posted as soon as a determination has been made. For now, please stay healthy and safe, and enjoy our wonderful hobby.
