Ad Hoc Subcommittee on VHF and Above Revitalization
Dear fellow Amateurs,
The Programs & Services Committee of the ARRL Board recognizes the need to review and update various aspects of the League’s contest program for our VHF and higher bands. To this end, it recently formed an Ad Hoc Subcommittee on VHF and Above Revitalization. You can help us by providing additional insights and ideas for our consideration.

The antenna range results for the 2014 SVHFS Conference are in. Rangemaster Al Tirevold, WA0HQQ, completed calculations and the results are below. A special thank you to Les Zavadil, W4FRA for his range-wrangling assistance.
In today’s business meeting for the Society, members nominated and elected the new slate of directors for the 2014-2016 term. Elected are Charles Osborne, K4CSO; Dennis Kosmetatos, N4NIA; Kent O Dell, KA2KQM; Bruce Randall, NT4RT; Jeff Kruth, WA3ZKR; and Steve Kostro, N2CEI.
The nature of the Society’s activities is one of a gradual buildup throughout the year, culminating in a flurry of finalizing arrangements and soliciting proceedings in the months just before the Conference. The updates to the website follow this pattern, with updates coming quickly in the period before the Conference as we post registration forms, hotel information, and announcements.
