2007 Southeastern VHF Society / Mini-Circuits Annual Award for Design Achievement Overview: Harvey Kaylie, President of Mini-Circuits, was given a copy of our Conference Proceedings and was impressed with the experimental nature of our group. Mr. Kaylie has pledged a first place prize of $1,000 cash, or a gift certificate worth $2,500 at Mini-Circuits, for the winner of an electronics design competition. The second place prize is $250 cash or a $500 gift certificate. Third and fourth place winners would receive gift certificates worth $200. Design Judging Criteria ( 25 points maximum total) 0-5 pts: for new and innovative circuit designs, or novel uses of the components. 0-5 pts: for exceptional circuit performance measured against established norms. 0-5 pts: for construction technique, ie craftsmanship, aesthetics 0-5 pts: for documentation, schematics, article for publication. Designs submitted in time for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings will receive extra points. Mini-Circuits will have the right to contact the entrant and publish any submission that wins an award. 0-5 pts: Designs should be: original work, practical, and use readily available parts (using Mini-Circuits products will gain extra points.)
